The entrance to Curtis Park in Sacramento

Curtis Park is a beautiful neighborhood surrounds the large and lush Curtis Park, a favorite for walkers, runners, sports teams, and picnic-goers. The park is one mile around and draws frequent visitors from the neighborhood and surrounding areas with its large trees and lush landscape. The neighborhood has a very high percentage of well maintained single family homes, most built in the 1910’s and 1920’s. The lots in Curtis Park are slightly larger than those found in Midtown and Downtown, increasing the desirability of this area. The proximity to area freeways makes this area an attractive place to live for commuters and downtown workers as well.

Curtis Park is small enough to have that close-knit feel and since there are no major thoroughfares through the neighborhood it is very quiet as well. There are few businesses in Curtis Park itself, however the neighborhood is in close proximity to midtown and downtown, so a short bike ride is all it takes to be at the doorstep of many of Sacramento’s finest eating, drinking, and entertainment venues. The Sierra 2 Community Center is located in the neighborhood and is host to a number of theatric and artistic events, as well as fitness activities. The tight community and pride of ownership in Curtis Park are hard to beat, making this neighborhood a great place to call home!
